Hello everyone, first of all I´m sorry for whiting in English. I life in Germany and don´t know much fench. Hope you will understand? I have always been a person who liked large strong and heavy car. Since I life in a greater city I needed something small to drive to work everyday. So I found a ´95 XSI 1.6l (160000km) in silver for sale close to my home. my mom drove a 1.0l 106 since ´94 so I new the car and how little they rust and reliable they are. And I fell in love with that XSI. What a fun car to drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And than I found this forum...great to see and read, well as much as I understand fench,. It has AirCon and full leather with a driver sit heating. lowered a little...so way to nice to strip it. So I left it original and found another XSI closed by. A XSI 1.4l almost no extras also in silver for € 150,- So I got it and have been working on it for a year now and it´s almost done. (I hope to get some pictures on here soon!) |

Your Silver (1.6l) is nice your wheels are "R&H" wheels (I dont know the word in English so I say Wheels ) And what did you do with the new one (1.4l) ? Race, week-ends car ? |

thanks for the welcoming. Well the story of the 1,4l is long. As I mentioned before I kind saved it from getting recycled...It is my fourth car, so really I didn´t want it but couldn´t let it die. and for that price, but the condition was really bad! So I took everthing apart... engine first and everything around it... I found out that it did´t have the original TU-Block rather than a aluminum KDX with the XSI head and intake... so I bought an old XSI LeMans engine for 80,-€ (the hole thing). It look bad by the time and had 200000km on it. But since I only needed the block...it was al right and the Block was fine. so I rebuild it. New seels, oils and sparks... and so... lowering spings 30mm in the front, stiffer in the back no lowering... new breaks open Air intake 4-2-1 Clemens Motorsport no catalysator Thomas chip tuning engine managment Carbon stuff from the 1,6l took all the isolations out It has no electronic helper any way, like power mirrors, power windows, and such... when I got it...it had dents from a former accident and I cleaned that with new parts... and yes I painted it myself...part for part...everything, doors bumpers, hood, trank... now I only have very few things left...Oiltemp-signal doesn ´t work yet...drives me nuts and some little things inside... I also have another 1,6l Block taken apart....I will put that in as soon as I have time...and it shoulöd run graet with the Bosch motronic and my chip... What I use it for...I don´t know yet...take it on a trake and see how it will do... here some pics of the work:
